Brooklyn offers everything Manhattan has, no matter the size of your guest list, or taste.
Go gothic glam at One Hanson Place – the bank vault in the basement is not to be missed! Plan for a chic loft style wedding at the Green Building, amongst open raw space – my suggestion: hire gourmet food trucks to keep your guests on their toes.
Love Central Park, but not the hassle? Then the Boathouse at Prospect Park is perfect for a romantic bride.
Plus, lots of restaurants with backyards likely would love to host your affair, so don’t underestimate your favorite brunch spot to make for a perfect, intimate wedding or rehearsal spot. I personally love the courtyard at Roberta’s in Bushwick; the food rivals Manhattan’s top restaurants.
Bonus: wherever you are, there’s a killer bar around the corner for your afterparty.xo, Rebecca Crumley Author Bio: We asked Rebecca Crumley, photo editor of The Knot, to write a few words about our beloved borough. Although she no longer lives here, and has recently moved across the country, her love of all things weddings is palpable. Thanks for your contribution, Rebecca! Keep up the good work, and, Brooklyn misses you!
