On Friday Rebecca and I had the opportunity to work together on a very special event – the wedding of our mutual friends CJ and Mike.  It was my first time working at Galapagos, and what a gorgeous space to photograph in! I adored the dramatic flair the stage and venue lighting brought to their wedding. The ‘audience’ cheered as Mike took the stage and did the same for CJ as she walked down the aisle. They even received a standing ovation for their first kiss!  It was a truly remarkable event. Guests kept commenting that it felt like a rock and roll show!

Rebecca’s floral arrangement and centerpieces truly complimented the dramatic feel of the venue and the overall aesthetic of CJ and Mike’s vision. CJ’s flowers were a throwback to vintage hollywood glamour. Rebecca used black star calla lilies, black beauty roses, and black feathers. For the groom, she kept things simple but bold, using a single black star calla and polka dotted feathers. CJ had a very clear vision of what she wanted for her centerpieces, knowing that she did not want any flowers but lots of candlelight. Rebecca created centerpieces using silver candelabra’s graduated in heights with lush pink and red petals nestled around the base.

I’ve never seen such an energetically packed dance floor at a wedding before! CJ and Mike threw a fantastic party and a wonderful time was had by all.
